A successful Sunday

We made it.  Two weeks in a row, folks!  Thanks for all your prayer and support for the tech team.  Next week we’re shooting for number 3.  Let’s wait and see what happens though.  I don’t know about you, but I find Sundays to be stressful, then good once every thing’s wrapped up.  Once service is over I usually find myself looking for a place to go and rest in God’s creation.  By rest, I mean my soul.

This past Sunday, I found myself hiking up Mt. Hamilton in the gorge.  I don’t know how the weather was here in town, but it was rather nice up on the mountain.  Had a couple of snow showers pass over but mostly it was just clouds and sun breaks passing over.  Being up on the mountain I could just feel God’s presence calming my soul.  That’s what I’ve found I need on a consistent basis, so I’m working to make time to get out and listen and talk with God out in the wilderness.  What works for you?  Where do you find rest? Where do you go to meet with God?
